-More than 150 people including King’s family members gathered for a prayer.

-Some carried sings calling for justice for Tyre.

Assessment:

A 13-year-old African-American boy has been shot because police thought his BB gun was a real firearm. This is another police shooting happening this year.
‘Police is the civil force of a state ,responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order.’ This is the basic definition of ‘police’. So when we look at this incident or previous ones, it seems like police is using excessive force for criminals or innocent individuals.

Due to the currency of such events, individuals do not feel safe and as a result take action to protect themselves from the state and its apparatus and tools. The first step is a protest then a reaction situation: individuals shooting police for justice or self-defence. This type of incident creates uncertainty in society. Arguably, it seems like these incidents will continue to occur.
