Turkish helicopter shot down in Afrin

With the continuing Operation Olive Branch, Turkish forces lost its first air unit. Two Turkish aircrew died as their aircraft was downed by anti aircraft fire from Kurdish Militia  in the Afrin region. The aircraft a T129 Atak is an advanced attack helicopter with countermeasures currently in service with the Turkish Military, it seems likely that local Kurdish forces have attained advanced portable anti air weapons aiding in the downing of the Turkish Helicopter. Turkish helicopter shot down  T129 Atak. Two Turkish aircrew died. Claimed to be shot down by Kurdish Militia. Possible use of advanced portable anti aircraft weapon. The aircraft was engaged in ground support operations against Kurdish forces in Afrin, Operation Olive Branch. Possible new phase of warfare with the deployment of advanced anti vehicle weapons.
