Israeli fighter jet shot down by Syrian Forces

Syrian forces shot down an Israeli F-16 on a ground attack mission against targets inside Syrian territory. Israel claims the attack was defensive in nature due to Iranian violation of Israeli airspace with a drone based out of Syria, while Iran claims that the drone was being used to monitor Isis forces in the region. This comes at a time of increasing tensions in the region with the U.S. being accused of violating Syrian sovereignty with its use of U.S. troops embedded in local militia forces. Cyberwarfare – Stuxnet – hacking Iran’s nuclear capabilities

Key date: 2010 Stuxnet was a malicious worm, discovered by Kaspersky Labs in 2010. A worm is self-replicating malware that duplicates itself and spreads to uninfected computers. Stuxnet was solely designed to target the make and model of a specific embargoed Siemen’s SCADA system used only by the Iranian nuclear program. Stuxnet allowed the Iranian centrifuges to overspin but not alert staff, damaging themselves permanently. Israel Dolphin-class submarine deal with Germany
